Strawberry Jam

Families gathered at Over Easy Acres strawberry farm with picnic blankets and lawn chairs for an idyllic day. Live music by Heath Landers of Guntersville serenaded the crowd from noon to 2 p.m. Children enjoyed a petting zoo, inflatables, classic games, and more in the sun, while adults savored food from food trucks such as Lena’s Rolling Kitchen, Ellie B’s Lemonade, and A Little Something Extra Ice Cream. As a sweet souvenir, visitors could fill a bucket with fresh strawberries and even purchase homemade strawberry jam.

Legacy Ball

Step back in time to a “Sock Hop” event that bridged generations in celebration of Grandparents Day, held on Saturday, September 9 from 5 to 7 pm at Hammers Hall in Albertville. This heartwarming gathering was proudly presented by Legacy Lube and Maintenance. Local Joe’s provided mouthwatering burgers, and classic root beer floats were crafted by the AHS Culinary Department. The evening was filled with lively activities, including a dance-off and the chance for children to paint wooden cars. To complete the retro experience, everyone relished a spectacular performance by dancers grooving to the 50s-style tunes.

IF: Gathering

Rooted Collective’s IF:Sand Mountain, a local expression of the global IF:Gathering movement, recently unfolded as a transformative experience for women seeking gospel-centered resources and community connection. Against the picturesque backdrop of Sand Mountain, local vendors, and savory delights added a unique charm to the event. The sisterhood gathering exuded warmth and inspiration, providing a platform for women to share stories and uplift one another. Rooted in the IF:2024 theme, the event seamlessly combined livestreamed elements with local fellowship, making it a meaningful occasion for spiritual growth and genuine connections. IF:Sand Mountain not only equipped women with valuable insights into their faith but also fostered a sense of unity, leaving attendees inspired and ready to carry the event’s spirit into their everyday lives.
